A sophisticated result through an experimental approach

Maja Johansson is an innovative textile designer with a strong commercial sense who is specialised in woven textiles, fibers and colour. Her work explores traditional weave techniques, develops new structures and pushes the use and effect of material blends and finishing methods with the aim to suggest something new, intriguing and luxurious. 

Maja was born in Sweden, studied tailoring in Copenhagen and is now based in London where she in 2012 graduated with a MA in Textile design from Royal College of Art.
